Some Liberal Assistance
I suggest that Liberal Democrats develop some realistic focus. No, I am certainly not gloating!This country has spoiled many folks by its largesse. The social problems, real ass-kickers, which killed, mutilated, starved and maimed people have been dealt with by preceding generations, Republicans, Democrats and others.
This achievement, while important, allows individuals the time, means and luxury to want their every private dream realized. A public figure touched on this today and he was correct. This garbage of same-sex marriage, and the many other antisocial rants of most Liberals is not mainstream. It spits in the face of the people who accomplished the Herculean tasks mentioned early in this paragraph. This country was founded by a people who had the views which still predominate in the conservative american mind. Note, I did NOT say the conservative "Republican" mind. The only reasons that the vast majority of Democrats voted Democratic, was because they were supporting the PARTY. In the South, most of the Democrats I know, ally themselves with the party based on what it FORMERLY represented. That is "support and protection for the working man." That protection was, largely, responsible for overcoming those "social problems" mentioned earlier. I do not know a SINGLE democrat down here who believes in "Bigger Government, Gay Marriage", or most of the other tenets of the national "Liberal Democratic machine." They are simply voting in lockstep with their forebears.If the Democratic party could deal with issues which are consistent with mainstream american beliefs, they could count on continued support by "workingman" Dems, and an infusion of "workingman" Republicans to boot.
The deviant (in the sociological sense of the term) issues do and will continue to fly in the face of mainstream america. For those who feel the "need" to try to convince the majority of us that we are wrong and you are right in your "unnatural" (in the sense of non-traditional) demands. Why don't you just leave and start your own colony and carve out your independence as our ancestors did here? Of course, you will have to find a way to deal with those GENUINE social problems, as we did here.
